Cavatore is a field book for truffle hunters and their dogs. This page explains, plainly and completely, what the app does and does not do with your information.
Everything you enter — zones, outings, finds, dog profiles, scent drills, notes and any photos you attach — is written only to your device's local storage, inside the app's own private storage area. None of it is uploaded, synced, backed up to a server we operate, or shared with any third party. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.
If you choose to attach a photo to a find, or to add a portrait to a dog's profile, Cavatore asks for camera or photo-library access at that exact moment. Only the picture you actively take or pick is copied into the app's own storage — the app never scans or accesses the rest of your photo library. These photos stay on your device and are never uploaded.
With your permission, Cavatore schedules reminders entirely on your device: a licence (tesserino) renewal reminder, a weekly scent-drill reminder, and a species season-opening alert. These are generated and delivered on-device using the information already stored in the app. No notification content is sent to us or to anyone else.

The Rules section can open certain reference pages — such as the text of Italian law 752/1985, or a page you choose to save — inside a built-in browser within the app. These pages are shown exactly as their host publishes them and are subject to that host's own privacy practices while you are viewing them; Cavatore itself does not track your activity within that view.
Cavatore is a reference and logging tool for licensed truffle hunters and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "last updated" date.
